Antonio Abalos Obituary

Antonio Abalos

05/28/1959-05/20/2025

Antonio (Tony or Tonio) Sanchez Abalos was an amazing man. There wasn’t anything that was more important to him than family. He was devoted to his wife, his children, his grandchildren and his job. He spent his days working and when he wasn’t doing that, he was perfecting his yard, buying hats, or thrift shopping. Antonio Abalos, 66, of Warden, WA, was welcomed home by our lord and his family on May 20, 2025 surrounded by his children. Antonio was born in Indaparapeo, Michoacan, Mexico in May of 1958 to Daniel Abalos Lucas and Hermelinda Sanchez Ayala. He was the oldest of eleven siblings, and played the role of father to them all. He never failed to tell stories about combing his younger sisters hair, to taking them to the store to buy snacks. In his early adolescence, Antonio married Teresa Ramirez and in 1980, welcomed a daughter, Teresa Avalos. He became widowed during the birth of his firstborn children. Only a few years later he migrated to the United States and traveled up the west side of the US until reaching a town he came to call home, Pasco, Washington. In 1989, Antonio stumbled upon the love of his life, Rebecca Abalos and her son, Eric Luna, at a local park in Pasco, WA. Antonio, soon after, took up the role as step-father and later, as the main father figure. Antonio and Rebecca welcomed their first daughter, Priscilla Abalos in 1993 and their son Ulises Abalos in 1996. Antonio dedicated almost 36 years to his job. He drove tractor, sprayed various fruits, among many things around the “ranch”. His passion for his work in agriculture was always very apparent. His hobbies were working on his yard, going yard selling, and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his father, Daniel Abalos; his four children and their spouses, Teresa and Hugo Ortiz, Eric and Selena Luna, Priscilla and Francisco Valenzuela Jr, and Ulises and Jazmin Avalos, his 7 grandchildren, Jaquelin and Alejandro Ortiz, Love and Ocean Luna, Adrik and Kiana Valenzuela, and Elias Avalos, his 10 siblings and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother Hermelinda Sanchez Ayala, his wife, Rebecca Abalos, Teresa Ramirez, and a twin daughter lost at birth.

Antonio Abalos

05/28/1958-05/20/2025
