Carolyn Joyce Sandlie (Berciunas)
Born: March 31, 1942 — Died: November 27, 2025

Life and Character
Carolyn was a spirited, loving, and generous woman whose spunk and warmth left an impression on everyone who knew her. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, she was known for being a protector of her family and a giver of time and effort from a very young age. She could be a firecracker at times, quick with a laugh and a story, and she adored sharing memories of the “good ol’ days” with Milt and Rudy.
She loved to read, play games, and work puzzles. Carolyn enjoyed socializing with longtime friends over a good cup of coffee, listening to country music, and a lively trip to the casino slot machines. Adventurous at heart, she was blessed to check off many items on her bucket list, including driving to Nashville, Mount Rushmore, visiting Catalina Island, attending the Grand Ole Opry, and taking a cruise to Florida, Jamaica, and the Cayman Islands.

Family
Carolyn is survived by her daughters and their families: Kimberly Hittinger (Darrin) and granddaughter Aimee; Tammy Primmer (Rick) and grandchildren Christina and Brian; Debbie Gray (Doug) (Polly) and grandchildren Heather and Mikeal. She is also survived by her niece Betty Jean Ohlund (Ron Ghorley).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton B. Sandlie; she is now reunited with the love of her life of over 50 years.

Legacy
Carolyn’s generosity, fierce loyalty, and joyful spirit will live on in the stories shared and the road she helped shape for her family. She protected and cared for those she loved, offered help without hesitation, and celebrated life with a sparkle that could brighten any room. Her laughter, her stubborn kindness, and her readiness to make every moment count made her a pillar to those around her.
She will be loved and remembered in our hearts forever.
