Delbert Leroy Busherd

D.L went to be with the Lord and his old horse Dollar after a battle with cancer on November
14th 2024, He was peaceful at home surrounded by family and friends.
Delbert Leroy Busherd (D.L) was born to Jerry and LoraLee Busherd on July 2nd 1965, in
Brewster WA. He was the oldest of 3 siblings. The family moved to Moses Lake WA around
1966, then when D.L was in grade school the family relocated to Butler Missouri where Jerry
worked on a local ranch. They also lived in Adrian Missouri and he still has family in the area.
Around 1976 the family relocated back to Moses Lake WA and settled in Cascade Valley.
D.L graduated from Moses Lake High School class of 1983. He was involved in several AG
related activities such as Rodeo and FFA.
After high school D.L followed his passion for life a horseback and pursued a life as a cowboy.
He built saddles with Jim Stone of the famous Stoney Saddlery in his younger years.
He worked for several cattle operations across Eastern Washington from a dude sting up north
near Winthrop to El Oro Cattle Co. a feedlot in Grant County WA. D.L met his wife in 1990 and
they welcomed a daughter in 1992. They settled at Billingsley Ranch in Palisades WA where
they raised their daughter in the cowboy way of life.
D.L moved to Moses Lake around 2006, He still had a passion for rodeo and volunteered his
time with the Eastern Washington Junior Rodeo Association as a board member, judge and a
clinic coach. He was always the 1st to step up and help any child in any event that needed help
from lending a hand to lending a horse. He just wanted the kids to succeed. He enjoyed
swimming and fishing and would take any chance he could get to go to the water and enjoy a
nice day.
D.L is survived by his father Jerry Busherd, Sister Stacey Busherd, Daughter Darby Langley
and Grandsons Wyatt Kunkel and Colton Mason.
D.L was preceded by his Mother LoraLee Busherd and brother Robert Busherd.
We are having a Celebration of life for D.L at U Rock Ranch on December 14th 2024 @ 1pm
with food and beverages. Please come celebrate his life with laughter and memories.
