Dylan Jonathan "Dilly" Smarro, 24, of Wenatchee, Washington, passed away on July 13, 2025. Dylan was born on November 23, 2000, in Wenatchee, Washington. Dylan spent his entire life surrounded by the natural beauty of the region he loved so dearly.
Dylan graduated from West Side High School in Wenatchee in June of 2021. Dylan was known for his quiet wisdom and thoughtful nature. After high school, he worked a variety of jobs that reflected both his strong work ethic and his versatility. His employment included positions at Northern Fruit, Mission Ridge, Apex Construction, and most recently at the Amazon Distribution Center in East Wenatchee.
Dylan had a deep passion for the outdoors and extreme sports. He found joy and freedom in dirt biking, bmx biking, skateboarding, and fishing, but above all else, snowboarding was his greatest love! The mountains were his sanctuary, the place where he could express himself fully and feel most alive!
Those who knew Dylan remember him as one of the kindest and most caring individuals they have ever met. He was quiet yet deeply thoughtful, always considering others’ feelings before his own. His maturity and insight were far beyond his years. Dylan’s smile and laughter had a way of lighting up any room he entered, a presence that brought comfort and joy to those around him.
He is survived by his mother Christi Smarro; his father, Jonathan Smarro; and extended family on both sides who cherished him deeply. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Dorothy Smalley; grandfather, Douglas Smalley; aunt Vicki Fechner; and uncle Ryan Pyle.
A memorial service to honor Dylan’s life will be held on August 9th, 2025 at 11:00 AM at The Breath of Life Church in East Wenatchee, Washington.
Though Dylan’s time with us was far too short, the impact he made will be felt forever. His kindness, laughter and love will be greatly missed. May he rest peacefully in God’s hands until we meet again!
