Felipe Garza, 73 year old of Moses lake WA, passed away peacefully in the care
and comfort of his home in Moses Lake, WA on May 12th, 2025.
Felipe Garza was born in Bishop Texas on September 10th, 1951, to Porfirio Vela
Garza and Paula Lopez Garza. He did not finish his education as he was the 4th eldest
of 12 children and spent much of his childhood traveling where agricultural work would
lead them. After years of traveling, Felipe planted his roots in Washington with his Wife
Maria De Lourdes Garza, born 1956. They had two children together, daughter Marisol
Garza, born in Moses Lake WA in 1986 and their son Felipe Jr. Garza, born in
Toppenish WA in 1988. Felipe had two children from a previous marriage, Rolando
Felipe Garza, born 1974 and Evelia Marie Roman, born 1976.
Throughout his life he never encountered a person he did not befriend. Everyone
was a friend or family. He loved all his family, church, and community. He loved to go
out of town to visit relatives any chance he got. He expressed his love through telling
stories and making jokes. His passion was to help people any way he could and to
make them laugh.
Felipe was proceeded in death by: His grandparents, parents, wife Lourdes,
brothers; Lino, Leonardo (Leonor), Benigno, and nephews; Moses, Canuto “Tito”, and
Andrew Barajas.
Felipe is Survived by his siblings; Petra, Porfirio (Martha), Juan, Albert (Maria), Canuto
(Paula), Maria, Ricardo (Elissa), and Agapito (Leticia), and sister-in-law Sylvia.
His children and grandchildren: Rolando Garza (Shaquita)- Kassandra (Jose),
Rolando, Issac, Oz, Isaiah, & Braylen. Evelia (Joaquin) Roman- Delia (Romeo) Adrien,
Josafat (Jennifer) & Jaqueline. Marisol (Nathan) Pruneda- Amariah & Nathaniel “Jase”.
Felipe (Alejandra) Garza- Mia Elize, Rolando Felipe, Silverio Alfaro “Bello” and 19 great
grandkids.
Funeral service will be held:
Thur. May 22, 2025, at 3pm
Viewing: 11am-12pm Immediate family
12:00 pm- 3pm Open to extended family and friends
