Francis “Frank” Bodway III
August 27, 1942 – June 21,2025
Francis “Frank” Bodway III passed away peacefully at home after a short battle with cancer at the age of 82. Frank was born on August 27, 1942, in Riverside County, California, to Francis Bodway II and Eileen (Branham) Bodway. He was raised in Petaluma, California, where he attended and graduated from Catholic school. After graduation, Frank proudly served in the United States Navy from 1960 to 1963, taking part in nuclear bomb testing. Following his military service, he returned to Sonoma County and married his first wife. He worked for Serres Construction and together they had two children: Julie Bodway and Jeff Bodway. In 1975, Frank married his second wife, Judy. He became a stepfather to Daniel Christensen Jr., and together they had a daughter, Jeanne Bodway. In 1993, Frank and his family moved to Moses Lake, Washington, where he worked as a mechanic at AAA Ready Mix until retiring in 2009. He loved working on anything with an engine—no matter the size. In 2018, Frank married his third wife, Teri Bodway. Frank was preceded in death by his father, Francis Bodway II; his mother, Eileen Bodway; and his second wife, Judy Bodway. He is survived by his loving wife, Teri Bodway, and his children: Julie (Bodway) Delaney, Daniel Christensen Jr., Jeff Bodway, and Jeanne Bodway. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Mally Richart, Jessica Bodway, and Andrew Bodway; as well as several great-grandchildren. Frank will be remembered for his service, his love of machines, and his devotion to family.
