Gerald (Jerry) Roy Asplund, 82, our beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend of Moses Lake, Wa., passed away on November 30th, 2024.
Gerald was born in Minot, ND in 1942 to Lester and Marie Asplund where his developed his reputation as a hard worker. In 1975, he married Patricia Lee Wilkins in Yakima WA. Gerald and Patricia eventually settled in Moses Lake where he worked as a hyster driver at McCain Foods for over 25 years.
Gerald was known for his sense of humor and warm personality; he brought joy and laughter to everyone he met. He had a deep love for woodworking and spent countless hours crafting pieces that reflected his creativity. He was also an avid Nascar fan and loved watching the races every chance he could.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Marie, and by his wife Patricia. He is survived by his two children, Stephanie and Tim (Joanna), who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts, along with his six grandchildren which were the light of his life. Gerald’s family meant the world to him. He also leaves behind his three brothers: Les (Sharon), Bruce (Sue), and Robert, whom he shared a lifetime of memories.
Gerald’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and devotion. His absence leaves an irreplaceable void, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Rest in peace, Gerald. You will always be remembered with love.
