Kimberly Sue Humpherys passed peacefully through the veil into the next life on November 19, 2025 in Moses Lake, Washington. She was born in Yakima, Washington on June 28, 1973 to Lawrence “Larry” and Sarah Shaw.
Kimberly grew up in Yakima and Kennewick, Washington. In high school she was a cross country and track star. While attending Ricks College, she met Bryce Humpherys. They were sealed for time and eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on August 4, 1993. They were best friends and made a beautiful and happy life. Together they attended Utah State University where she earned a bachelor degree in elementary education. Kimberly used what she learned from her university studies in her work as an educator and as a home maker.
Kimberly loved the roles of wife and mother and devoted her life to her family. She was the proud mother of Spencer Allan (Alison Michelle), Matthew Lawrence (Megan LeeAnne), Dallen Bryce, Jesse Joseph, and Sarah Adele. She understood each of them and knew how to meet their unique needs, show them love, and encourage the development of their individual interests. She knew how to make each of her children feel special and loved in a way that was meaningful to them.
Kimberly was a lifelong and devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She diligently served in many different church callings where she developed her talents in music, friendship, and speech. She loved getting to know and socializing with other women in the church. She developed deep and abiding friendships with many, many women who she loved.
She had a deep and abiding testimony of Jesus Christ with faith that through His Atonement and Resurrection, she will be reunited with her loving family for eternity.
Kimberly was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Roy Shaw and Sarah Louisa Salazar. She is survived by her husband, children and her siblings Desiree (Scott) Read, Larry (Laura) Shaw, David (Julie) Shaw, Craig (Mary) Shaw, Camille Daniels, Jen Allyson (Kate) Fox.
