Margie Johnson Obituary

Margie Adeline Johnson (Barga-Hussey) April 16, 1938 – August 16, 2025 (87 years old)

Margie passed away peacefully on August 16 surrounded by family. She was a woman who loved God and wanted to know and understand Him as well as share his love with all who came across her path.  She had a bold and creative spirit. She was never short on ideas—her mind was always alive with vision and possibility. Life didn’t always give her the support she needed to bring those dreams fully into reality, but she never stopped imagining and believing in more. Margie felt she was called to be a “mother of many”’; while raising her eight children, she somehow managed to run a daycare of 50+ kids that she took care of for ten years.  Her and Ron were available to many who needed love and some direction in life, opened their home to a number of them.  After closing her daycare in 1979, she worked for Boeing for eight years, in addition to several business ventures. Margie and Ron raised their children in Kent Washington, in 1997; they retired and located to Moxee, Washington where they resided for 23 years. In 2020 they moved to Moses Lake, Washington. One of her greatest hopes was to create generational wealth for her family. While that dream didn’t come to life the way she wished, the journey she led us on gave us something just as meaningful—lessons, wisdom, and strength that will stay with us forever. She gave us courage to think bigger, to learn from the past, and to walk our own paths with more clarity. For that, and for the love she poured into us, we will always be grateful. She is survived by her husband Ronald Johnson 66 yrs; Deborah Cizek (Craig); Mary Krig (Steven); Michael Johnson; Christine Parks (Calvin); Paula Slater (Tom); Steve Johnson; Brad Johnson (Lynda) and Rebecca Johnson. 17 grandchildren: 23 and counting great grandchildren.  Sister, Shirley Hussey-Miller, Brothers, Jack Hussey (Delores), Buck Hussey (Brenda) and several nieces and nephews.  Proceeded in death Bertha (Barga) Hussey (1987), Mervin Hussey (2003) Virginia Hussey-McNeill (1997), and Patrick Hussey (2004). A great granddaughter Mackenzie Tannehill-Allison (2019). She will be deeply missed, but her spirit lives on in the family she shaped.
