Maria M. Lopez, 72, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2025, in Moses Lake,
Washington.
Born on September 16, 1952, Maria lived a life rooted in love, generosity, and devotion
to her family. She was the heart of her home and a source of warmth to all who knew
her. Her presence brought joy and comfort, and her legacy will live on through the many
lives she touched.
Maria is lovingly remembered by her significant other, Macario Rodriguez; her sons
Joey (Minerva) and Tony (Anna); and her daughters Annalee (Eddy) and Venessa. She
also leaves behind two cherished sisters, Magali Valdez and Trinidad Lopez. Maria was
a proud grandmother to eleven grandchildren—Miguel, Anika, Natalie, Melanie, Omar,
Joaquin, Maleighah, Mauricio, Riki, Jordan, and Annisah—and a beloved great-
grandmother to five great-granddaughters and two great-grandsons. “She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins she loved dearly.”
She was preceded in death by her parents, Julian M. and Maria De Jesus Lopez; and
her two brothers, Julian M. Lopez Jr. and Jose Fidencio Lopez.
Maria found immense joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her
home was always open—a place filled with laughter, delicious food from her kitchen,
and the comforting sounds of country music playing as she cruised around town or rode
along in the semi with her son Tony. She loved attending church services that nourished
her spirit and treasured visits with her sisters that strengthened lifelong bonds.
Shopping trips were another favorite pastime for Maria—an opportunity not just to find
something new but to share moments with those she loved. Her generosity knew no
bounds; she would give her last dollar to someone in need without hesitation and never
turned away anyone who needed help.
Maria’s caring nature was matched by a vibrant sense of humor that could light up any
room. Whether cooking for a full house or lending a hand to someone going through
hard times, she gave of herself fully—with love at the center of everything she did.
May Maria Marie Lopez’s memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her. Her
spirit will continue to inspire kindness, laughter, and love for generations to come.
