Richard Earl Boylan

Richard Earl Boylan, 85, went to be with his heavenly Lord on Febuary 21, 2026 with his loving wife Elaine and his grandson Ricky by his side in Moses Lake, Washington.

Richard was born in McMinville, Oregon on June 16, 1940 to Delmar and Cleo Boylan. He lived in Oregon with his family for many years. Richard spent a short time in Sacramento, California for college before moving back to Oregon to become a beekeeper. He later moved to Ephrata, WA in 1964 where he met the love of his life 13 years later. Richard and Elaine were married on a sunny afternoon on Febuary 19, 1977. They were inseparable since that day for the next 49 years.

Throughout his life, Richard enjoyed different occupations. He was a beekeeper, real estate agent, and insurance agent. He spent a total of 45 years in the insurance industry. He was a insurance agent for 38 years for Farmers Insurance where he earned many awards. He met many people while in this occupation and was able to bring others to God through his connections in the insurance world. Richard participated in the Jaycees Young Mens Club and the Lions Club. His hobbies consist of baseball, basketball, coaching, gardening. His time spent doting on his wife and family members was one of his most treasured moments of his life. Richard was best known as a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. he was fondly known by many as "Poppy Dick".

Richard is survived by his wife Elaine, his sons Andy Boylan, Scott Brown (Deanna), his daughters Kandi Schultz, Kim Weimerskirch, Kara Gunderson, his grandchildren Ricky Brown, Zachary Brown, Hannah Beierman, Kaitlyn Boyd, Lynden Joyhaven, Robert Weimerskirch, Jayme Gunderson, Tess Schultz, Brandon Boylan,and his great grandchildern Jaelyn Brown, Lexi Brown and Preston Brown also his brothers Gale Boylan (Della), LaVerne Boylan (Roberta), as well as several nieces and nephews.

Richard's celebration of life will be held on June 13th, 2026 at 2 pm. the location will be Bert and Darcy Jensens house. 2424 Cerry Blossom Drive, Ephrata, WA.
