Sarah "Sally" Robinson Hultenschmidt was born on August 11, 1933, in Seattle, Washington, and passed away on April 20, 2026, at her home in Warden, Washington.
In 1976, Sally moved from Western Washington to Warden, where she built a life centered on family, friendships, and community. She was known for her warm heart, strong spirit, and the kindness she shared with everyone around her.
Sally worked at the Corral Café for 15 years and later served as a baker for the Warden School District for 27 years. Through her work, she became a familiar and valued part of the community, touching many lives with her caring nature and dedication.
A lifelong lover of Appaloosa horses, Sally was a proud member of the Appaloosa Horse Club since 1966. She treasured the friendships and experiences the horse community brought into her life. Sally also enjoyed quilting and was a member of the Basin Peacemakers Quilt Guild, creating many beautiful quilts that became treasured keepsakes for family and friends.
She also loved playing Pinochle and cherished the laughter, stories, and companionship shared around the card table. Whether spending time with horses, sewing quilts, baking, or enjoying games with family and friends, Sally valued connection and community throughout her life.
Sally was a proud mother to Susan Hester, Sandy Popelka (Glenn), Steve Such, Mel Amundson (Meghanne), and Heidi Bayley Reichert (Dave). She was also blessed with 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Sally will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Her legacy lives on through her family, her friendships, and the many lives she touched with her kindness and strength.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on June 20th at the Warden Community Center, located at 114 N Oak Street, Warden, WA 98857.
