In Loving memory of Walter James Harwood. He went to be with our lord on January 27th of 2026 In
the comfort of his own home surrounded by family. Walter was proceeded in death by his father
Walter J Harwood Sr and his mother Ruth C Shaw of Everett WA also proceeded in death by His
sister Dolores and brother Mike. He is survived by His wife Hazel E Harwood of 37 years. Jim had 3
daughters Angie, Sherrie, & Lisa. His sister Edie and brother Eldee. He also had many grandchildren
and great grandchildren who will greatly miss him.
Jim served 3 years in the us army and was veryproud to serve. Jim then went on to work at Boeing
for 5 years and then finished a 30-year career with Alco of Wenatchee.
After Retirement Jim and Hazel found their forever home in Ritzville WA
where he enjoyed many years of bowling league, showing off his old cars and going to car shows.
Jim enjoyed Riding his gold wing motorcycle and loved playing music and singing in the church. He
and his wife also loved playing penoncel with the pastor and his wife of the Baptist church on a
weekly basis. Jim was loved and will be greatly missed.
There will be military service at the Washington State veteran’s cemetery (21702 W Espanola Road in Medical Lake WA,) service’s will be held at 5/8/2026 @ 2:15pm and all
are welcome.
