October 8, 1921 – January 23, 2019
Robert Gibler passed away on Jan. 23, 2019. He was born on Oct. 8, 1921 in Elk City, Idaho. His parents were Clint and Mabel Gibler. He had six brothers and two sisters. He was the last one standing.
The family moved to Kamiah, Idaho while Robert was in grade school. He graduated from Kamiah High School in 1939. He served in the Army Air Force during World War II. After the war he returned to Kamiah where he farmed. He received an allotment to purchase property near Warden in the Columbia Basin Project. He built a house and lived on the property for several years. He then moved to Moses Lake where he bought houses, refurbished them and sold them.
Robert never married. He resided at his home on Marina Drive until 2015 when he moved to Summer Wood Alzheimer’s Care Center. He is survived by 25 nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Summer Wood and Assured Hospice for the care and assistance they gave Robert. A family ceremony will be held in the summer at the family property on Red River, Idaho.
